WE’AR OUT! SUNDERLAND LGBT SERVICES
We’Ar Out! is an LGBT project based in Sunderland working to promote LGBT health and wellbeing in the Sunderland area. We’Ar Out! works in partnership with MESMAC North East and is supported by the Sunderland Partnership and Public Health in Sunderland.
The service offers 1 Hour HIV testing on a Monday, Trans Support on a Tuesday and LBi Support on a Friday. You can accessed these services either by appointment or drop in depending on the service you require.
Services include:
- Free HIV testing, sexual health advice and free condom and lubricant packs on a Monday.
- Trans Support and Group Services every other Tuesday.
- Lesbian and Bisexual Women’s Support Services on a Friday (by appointment).
- FREE and CONFIDENTIAL Services.

HIV TEST SERVICE
WE’AR OUT! HIV TESTING
MESMAC North East offer a free HIV testing service, it’s open to anyone regardless of gender or sexuality. The Sunderland clinic is based at We’Ar Out! The test is a simple finger prick test with a chat before and after. This should last no more than 1 hour in total. Testing is offered on a drop in basis on Mondays between 12 noon – 6.30pm (the last test is at 6pm). To have a test just drop in on the Monday session or call us to make an appointment. We need to have staff available to do the testing so it is always best to phone first. You can find out more information on the HIV test page of this website.

WE’AR TRANS
The We’Ar Out Transgender Support Group meets each 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month 6-9 pm.
It’s a social meeting with changing facilities if required. Also offering one-to-one support (by appointment) on Transgender issues. A warm welcome is assured.
