Northern Frontrunners 5k LGBT Race – 17th July

You’re invited to take part in the North East’s biggest LGBT 5k race on Friday 17th July at the Town Moor from 6.45pm. The amazing fun, friendly atmosphere was so popular last year that Northern Frontrunners (NFR) have increased entries so there are over 500 places up for grabs but they’re already going fast. NFR are calling all budding athletes, fun runners and those who wouldn’t usually consider running to enter now to secure your place in the fourth annual LGBT 5k race. Everyone is encouraged to take part and enjoy the event, so if you want to dress up in something totally bonkers, you’re aiming to beat last year’s winning time of 16 mins 31 seconds, or you’re happier to enjoy the atmosphere at the back chatting to our tail runner and taking an hour to finish, then get your entries in now! A UK Athletics license has been applied for. There are prizes for the top finishers plus spot prizes for best costumes. The fast, flat course is great for serious runners and the more casually minded alike. Plus clubs, teams and charities with ten or more participants will receive a £50 donation, some clubs have already raised £100 with over 20 members entering!
